Didn't fit

I wouldn't ordinarily try a Freya balcony bra because of their reputation for suiting projected, full-on-bottom breasts, but I picked up the 30FF Faye Underwired Plunge Balcony Bra (4201) because it's a beige, unlined, very lightweight bra. It turns out the cups fit okay, with just a bit of wrinkling where the upper lacy material meets the plainer woven lower material. This wouldn't show under shirts.

I think the reason this fits okay on my neither shallow nor projected shape is the wires kind of slant backwards under the arms. The wires and wings are not high enough for me, but the wires do go far enough back that enough of my tissue gets pushed into the cups, and the cups are filled.

But what a lot of fabric for a plunge bra! First of all, the center gore is 2.5" high, which is 1" higher than my close-set breasts like. Secondly, there is a lot of fabric in those cups. This covers about the same amount of square inches as my Fantasie full cup bras, the Serene and 4520. Because I'm petite, I have an incredibly hard time finding bras that don't peek through necklines. The Freya Faye is not going to help me here.

I think this is a plunge perhaps designed for women who want a plunge but have soft tissue that needs to be contained so the tissue doesn't ooze out at the top or gore.

This bra is not owned any more
