Fits

My boobs: very short narrow root, full on top, center full

The fit: Fits like a 38JJ or true to size 40J. The fit is very similar to my 38JJ - Elomi » Lottie Plunge Bra (4180) except lower cut and more open on top (excepting the straps). When I tried my 40JJ - Elomi » Jodi Plunge Bra (4190) over the top of this bra, there was room at the bottom, apex, and top of the bra, which suggests that this bra is a size smaller everywhere in comparison to other Elomi plunges, at least in this size. Additionally, when I tried my Lottie over the top of this bra, it fit the same everywhere except the Lottie was a bit taller and more closed on top, and had more room at the center. This is due to the seam placement, which is more east-west on this bra, with less room in the center. To make up for that, the gore is low and fairly narrow at the base. I have no problem after wearing this bra with the wires resting on tissue at the gore, a problem with most Elomi bras. The gore is the same height as my Elomi Jodi and does not tack, probably because of the lack of room at the apex. The side wires are very tall and would gouge me if I didn't replace them, which I always do. The band is firm and very comfortable. It doesn't move around at all. The straps don't cut in to the top of my breasts. Although it is supposed to be the same cut as Elomi Matilda Plunge Bra (8900), it is much shorter and smaller than the one I tried in this size. The fit is pretty good, considering the depth at the wire, as I don't have any sliding out of my IMF, although I do have some wrinkling at the base of the cup. The strap placement is much more centered than other bras I own and is the biggest selling point of this bra for me, followed by the great strappy details.

The look: Lifted, rounded, although I could have done with more room at the bottom of the bra. Would have been a better fit if it had fit true to size, but I'm sort of in between sizes right now. I get a very slight upside down 7 shape, so if I gain any weight it will be ugly. Without clothes on it looks great though, and the straps rest perfectly on my breasts in just the right place. Under my work clothes there is no hint of strappiness, and the arm holes are cut nice and deep so I can wear it under a black dress that usually shows bra on the side. Under low cut party dresses and shirts, the strappiness is just right for me. I'm fine with a bit of sex appeal when I'm out with my husband. Besides the straps there are no embellishments like bows and the shoulder straps are attached to a ring in the front which does not dig in.

The feel: Not as soft as Elomi's satin bras, but also not as itchy as some of their more plastic bras. Not as itchy as the Matilda plunge or really any CK bras. The inner side support panel is lined in a flannel type fabric which is very soft. The straps are similar to Elomi Bijou Banded Moulded Bra (8720) straps: slightly more stretchy and smooth, but won't get frayed over time. The strappy straps are made of a cleverly sewed stretch elastic which are just right for my full on top short breasts. The straps move with my movement, which I like. No cutting in and I feel like they wouldn't cut in even on very full on top tall roots because of their elasticity. The mesh on the band under the gore sometimes folds over and is itchy, but no more than three or so times per day so far. The best part is, because of the strappy straps and their connection to the top of the cups, the straps are pulled forward out of my armpits into a very comfortable wearing position. I have no issues with the straps falling down whatsoever in this bra, making the comfort very great indeed.

A great strappy bra for a plus band and cup woman, and a good buy if you need centered straps and a firm band as well.

Edit: 12/30/18- after wearing this bra for a long time and comparing the fit to another Sachi and a Soraya both in 40JJ, I’m pretty sure this is a mislabeled 40J. As I bought it from an outlet, that makes sense. But you should also know that in a real 40JJ the cups fit tts and the band is still really firm.

Missed your dress photo earlier: Wow! That is an amazing look on you!!!

Wow!! What an awesome bra! It looks so great on you. I can understand the slight east-west though, the seams are a bit outward facing. My boobs are naturally upside down 7 east west, so I want a bra that doesn't do that!! Lol. I love how thorough your review is. :)

Thanks so much for the compliments! I wore it all day yesterday without discomfort! It may become my favorite bra. Can't wait to go out with my love and show it off!
