This bra makes my boobs too east/west. The center gore is too big. Somehow my breast sit very low on my chest. As if I'm wearing a band that is not holding and supporting nor lifting my breasts. The band fits just right. It's not big at all in my opinion. I have an old bra from lane Bryant that is a 38F doesn't fit, cup is way too small and the band is way too big but the breast sit in the same angle and in the same spot as when I'm wearing the cleo lucy 32HH. Is it MY BREASTS? Am I doomed to wear bras that fit me all the same. Regarless of fit. Ay it's so frustrating and discouraging all this searching.

  You might want to do a fit request. Sometimes people have an easier time seeing the problem and they can recommend bras that fixed that problem for them

  Your body definitely isn't the problem! It's the bra 's problem for being unsuited to your shape. The gore being too wide is a common problem with Lucy as far as I know. Lucy is also a bandless bra, meaning that the band just joins onto the cups at the sides rather than continuing underneath them. I have heard women who've tried various Cleo bras report that they get less support with Lucy because of this. The band is also angled very high with the way it's attached to the cups, which can make the band on the Lucy appear to ride up as if it's too big (even when going down a band size would cut in and cause pain). This could be another reason that you're feeling a lack of support and lift.

  That said, if you're interested in recommendations for something that might work better, I don't think that's possible without more information. I definitely understand if you're reluctant to post a fit request. It seems like you need a bra that makes your boobs more front and centre, which I think is a tentative indicator that you need narrower wires and deeper cups (Lucy is known for being relatively wide and shallow compared to other Cleo bras). A wide shallow shape is more likely to push your boobs out to the side, which you noted in your post. The Cleo bra most known for being narrow is Marcie, but I'd be reluctant to recommend it to you as it is. Marcie's very popular among those it works for, but you need to be a particular shape and tissue firmness (from what I've seen) for that to be the case.

  Any chance you could tell us more about what you've tried in the past that didn't work? My own fit experience was very based in trial and error - looking at what was disastrous on me in the past helped me figure out more clearly what worked for me.

• KeighleyKnight I've tried the marcie in a 32J and the cup was way to big. I swam in the cup. So I got a 32H to see if it would fit better and it fits, but it looks odd. Where the mesh meets the stretchy lace there's a quadboob effect. I've never experienced that. In my life. Idk if to go for a 32 HH i might need more depth. Again, im not sure im in search of my first good fitted bra in my 28 years of life. And so far im not aiming right. as for the lucy it's simply not for me. Like u said I have the opposite of what the lucy stands for. But at least with ur insight I now know lucy is not compatible to my breast. Thank you so much. You've helped me at least eliminate that bra from my list.

  confusedboob No worries! Marcie is kind of weird like that - I tried one in 34GG when I was first fitted into a 32H, and got the in-cup quadboob as well. Then I got the babydoll in a 32HH later on, and I got the smooth rounded shape that it's known for - no in-cup quad at all. I remember dbmamaz had this happen as well a while back and we were speculating about what could be causing it. I think it's possibly one of two things - some kind of weird fabric tension issue around that seam, or Marcie only works for a really specific level of tissue density. If you can get your hands on a 32HH Marcie cheaply or to try on, that might be worth doing to see if the cutting in persists in that size, but you might get gaping on the top then if the 32H fits you all right aside from the quadboob.

  I wear about the same size as you (32HH, sometimes 30J) and for a long time most of the bras I tried just made me want to give up - I got quadding in 32HH, but any 32Js I tried were massive on me. If sizing up hasn't been much help, I would say that 32HH is the right size for you volume-wise - you just need a bra that distributes the volume differently (narrow and deep as opposed to shallow and wide). It does seem like you need a narrow and deep bra, preferably one that has more openness on top.

  If you have narrow, deep boobs, unfortunately I think you're likely to struggle to get a good fit in a lot of the UK brands. You could keep trying Cleo, but a lot of the bras they make that are sister cuts to Marcie have the same issue with the seam in the middle of the cut. Cleo Lily/Erin/Meg is another of their bras with narrow wires, but considering that Floris was too closed on top for you I don't think those bras are likely to work well either.

  One bra that you might have success with is Panache Jasmine - I haven't tried it myself, but I've been told that it's narrower and deeper than a lot of other UK bras. The top section of the cup is made out of lace that tends to conform more to the shape of the breast than Marcie does - it's more forgiving of varying levels of upper fullness. Avoid it if you have soft tissue though - stretch lace is flexible, but the tradeoff is that it's less supportive of tissue that's not as firm.   If you are at all in a position to do so, I would definitely recommend trying some of the Polish brands. Polish brands are well known for having narrow wires and deep cups, and the two biggest ones are Ewa Michalak and Comexim. I think Ewa Michalak is probably the best 'starter' Polish brand since they have more of a variety of bra cuts to try, so you can further narrow down what little fit issues affect you in more narrow bras. They're having a sale at the moment to clear out sizes that are currently in stock. SM/BM are the unlined full-cup cuts, with SM typically made of firmer fabric and BM using stretch lace; the padded cuts in our size range are S and PL, which are very similar to each other except that PL has a lower gore. I've tried the S, but none of the other cuts - it keeps my boobs very front-and-centre, and they have removable foam 'cookies' to help with asymmetry.

  Comexim is hands down my favourite brand. They offer customisation on their bras. It can be tricky to work out what alterations you need though, so my recommendation would be to try EM first if you decide to go Polish.
