Didn't fit

This bra was an experiment, and I'm super bummed it didn't work out. My CHPS in 65FF quad the teeniest bit but based on an experience with an S style in 65G I was afraid the wires in a CHP 65G would be too long and stabby. I found this 70FF, one cup and band size up, cheap on reddit so I tried it out. However, the band, which I thought ran firmer, runs almost true to size. It is too big for me and the cups are too big too. It's gorgeous and still in great condition but sadly does not fit me. Full review on my blog (they looked fun so I finally started my own!).

Curious what about the band makes you think it is too big? I can see the extra space in the cup when you pull it away, but from the front, angle, and side views they look fine. IMO the band looks fantastic. It isn't riding up in your pics, it's closed on the loosest hooks with no sign of strain. Also, the cups look to be sitting where they belong - like on some of your 65FFs the cups look to be pulled apart if that makes sense, as if the band was pulling the cups farther apart than they're designed to be. I don't see that here.

  • The band stretches comfortably/easily to 31.5, while my underbust is 28ish and I prefer tight bands because of a shoulder injury-for some reason if the band is looser than 29ish my shoulder acts up but if they're snug it doesn't. I didn't post it here but in my blog post I posted a picture of the bra pulled up over my breast-I can easily pull the cups over my breast tissue with no resistance. It's interesting what you said about the pulling of the cups. I wear most of my CHPS with an extender since I'm between sizes and the extra row helps with that pulling. If I didn't have so many bras in the first place, I'd take the band in. It is a rather nice fit, but I'd have to shorten the straps and band if I keep it and I would like to find someone else who could use a cheap Polish bra more than I do.

If that's your blog, you can set it up here for your profile:
    http://www.bratabase.com/profile/update/blog/

Then you will see a place to paste your blog review link on the review page and it will be properly formatted and included here.

That is also useful if you want to search for blog post reviews for certain brand/model/size like this : http://www.bratabase.com/browse/ewa-michalak/reviews/?show=blog-posts&ordering=by_votes&fit=

    Thanks Jj!

  • Are you selling it? I'd be interested...

  • It is for sale, but several people are already interested.

28" BTT? Bands aren't really supposed to match your BTT measurement or be worn at max stretch. I'm just curious what the difference between wearing a 65 with an extender & a 70 without is. Did you try the 70 on the middle hooks? I think your quadding in the 65FFs comes from cup distortion & a 70F would solve that. I can pull the bottoms of the cups on my 28 bands over my boobs too, I mean all bands should have some stretch beyond what you need, but that doesn't mean they aren't tight enough to provide the support I need.

  • The 65s I wear with the extender (one pl and one chp) stretch to 28 inches. The extra set of hooks gets them to 29. This bra just felt very shifty and not very secure like it was too loose all over. Even when the band is true to size and not getting pulled so hard I get minor quadding in some other 65FFs. It's not noticeable under shirts so it doesn't bother me too much. I was just curious what happened if I +4'ed my band and for me, it turned out too loose.

lol, you didn't even answer my questions. I'm a big fan of wearing the biggest band that doesn't ride up, not the tightest one you can possibly close. I can close a 26 band, that doesn't mean I need or wear them. This band looks to fit exactly how they're supposed to & your 65s look too tight. But obviously you're free to wear whatever you want!

  • Sorry, I thought I was. It's been a long day. I prefer the tightest bands I can get away with, but yeah, it looks like it's causing some pulling in the cups. I wasn't sure about the band because it does look like it's supposed to but it felt too loose

Did it actually slide up your back or compromise support though? It may feel loose simply because you're used to wearing overly tight bands. I can easily fit 3-4 fingers stacked on top of each other under even my tightest bands. Like I said, bands aren't meant to be stretched to the max & cup grading & placement isn't done with the max stretch of the band in mind. If it stays put all day & provides enough support, it's where it needs to be. My rule of thumb is comfortably stretched (not max stretched) bands should be the same or around 1" larger than your snug, not super tight, underbust. I see some exceptions made on ABTF for 38 & up bands, where UK bands in general get stretchier & where the wearer is likely to have 3-4"+ between snug & BTT but that's not the case here.

Huh. Thanks for that info! It might be because I'm used to tight bands. I did wear it around the house and I think it stayed in place relatively well. It felt more like a comfy lounge bra or slouchy day out bra. I could definitely continue to wear it on the middle or inner hooks no problem and if the cup didn't gap with movement I probably would have kept it for that purpose. Maybe if I get a chance I'll try a 70F and see if that works. Thinking about it, I wouldn't mind having an assortment of band tightnesses to choose from. Thanks. :)
