Didn't fit

**ALL PICTURES WERE TAKEN WITH PADS IN**
This bra is so much more beautiful in person than online-if that's possible to believe! This bra is gorgeous. The navy and dark green really work well together. However, I think I overshot my size. While the measurements all point to this being a perfect fit, it was a little gappy at the top without the pads in (which is why I took pictures with the pads in). I think maybe a size down would be better, but then I think it would be too narrow-but let's start at the beginning! This bra is seriously beautiful. My first impression was how solid it seemed. The construction is pretty neat and looks built to last. The attention to detail is incredible. I like that the ribbons on the seams of the cups are two different colours. The only thing I would change would be the placement of the eyelash lace. I think it would be more striking if the eyelashy bits stuck over the cup like they do in the other shape. The band is a plain navy with ribbons on the side seam and little scallopy green trim on the bottom and a ribbon ruffled down the front of the straps. The bows on this bra are awesome. The magenta really pops and I love how big the one on the gore is. The straps don't pose a problem width wise and I'm pretty short. However, they are super difficult to adjust, even though it says fully adjustable. The front of the straps has really pretty ribbon detailing but it was causing problems getting over that seam. My solution? The rat-tail end of a rat-tail comb-just wiggle it into the loop in the adjuster and slowly ease it out. I had no problems after that. I can adjust the straps short enough (I'm 4'8") which is always nice, but I think I need to go a smidge shorter. They are very wide and super comfy and plush. I doubt this will pose a problem. Width wise, this bra seems perfect, although it's the same width as some of my bras that feel too wide. They're nice and short and don't poke me in the arm pits like some I have. The cups...the cups are weird. The sizing is weird. It's 9.5 inches (without pads), which should be a pretty good depth for me, even verging on small. However, they gap without the pads in! It's not like I don't have the breast to fill it (I have breast tissue up to my collar bone and I think a pretty even shape). Despite this quandary, if I keep the pads in and really scoop and shuffle and adjust the straps pretty short, it's a nice fit with minor gapping at the top. I think the gapping at the top is simply due to shape and how thick the cup is. The shape it gives is...not quite rounded, not quite natural, maybe a little east-west? Whatever it is, I like it, and I normally love a more natural shape like the kind an unlined Freya gives. It's very perky and young. The wires are a very firm tack and feel super supportive. The gore doesn't poke at all and it's super comfortable. The band is super tight at 28.5 inches and it barely works for me. The band is the one thing I would change. Give me just .5 more inches of stretch and 3 hooks instead of 2 (on a G cup, really?) and I'd love it. There are are 4 rows of hooks which is nice. I also ordered the thong for this model and holy crap guys, don't let the stock photo fool you. It is SHEER. Very sheer. I think it runs true to size. It's not a snug fit on me but it's not too loose. It's beautiful though. I tried to take photos of it (in my darkish room with an ipod) but I'll see if I can take better photos when the sun is out. It has 3 bows, two baby ones in the front and then a giant one in the back. It's got a little frill at the top of the band and the eyelash lace on the sides. The back/sides of the thong has the same frilly scallopy bits the bottom of the band does and the crotch area has the strap detailing on it. It feels like a very cohesive set and I feel like an absolute princess in it. Although I think it's maybe a size big, I have no plans to return it because it's wearable and I bought it for a special occasion in a week so I have no time to go through an exchange. This is a very comfortable beautiful bra and I'm so glad I bought it. And next time (because there will definitely be a next time) I'll get the same style in the next size down and compare!

**EDIT** I shortened the straps even more and there's absolutely no gapping. I can still easily fit a finger or two under them so they aren't tight. They are now the perfect length and the best part is the cleavage! I never thought it would be possible for me to get that much cleavage in a bra that fits as perfect as this one does now. The last picture is the bra with the straps adjusted as tight as comfortable.

**EDIT TWO** Since shortening the straps (see addendum above) I can wear the bra without the pads. However, it causes slight gapping on my smaller right side and I love the cleavage they give me so although I can wear it without the pads I choose to wear it with.

This bra is not owned any more

    Beautiful!!

Beautiful! It's so hard with ewas bras sometimes cuz they are handmade and there will always be discrepancies with sizing because of it.
    It's so stunning though!

  • It really is. I think the problem with the sizing I had was in my haste to try it on, I hadn't quite figured out the optimal strap adjustment. I just added a picture showing even shorter straps and extra careful scooping and shuffling and now that I've figured it out I even get cleavage! I normally don't get cleavage, at least not this obvious. It's usually very subtle so it's nice to have variety.

  • curious why you went up to a G when most of your listed bras are Fs or DDs? Usually ppl only go up one size from their UK size? I really do wonder if it would fit better down a size. OTOH, I mound out of the top of my Ss, and you dont have much room to go up - it would be up to your collar bone!

  • All the dds and one F (not the Freya one) do not fit, despite what the pictures say. I'm trying to figure out my correct size. I was going off of the Freya which has a cup depth of a little less than 10 inches (off the top of my head). It is the only bra I have listed besides this one that I would call a perfect fit so I've been using it to figure out sizing. While the difference between my overbust and preferred band size is 7 inches, I found the F cup I tried to be too small (okay, way too small) and based on measurements users have submitted I have deduced that an FF or a G would work best, provided that they have a cup depth between 9.5 and 10 inches. This bra, with pads in and after I've adjusted, is actually a perfect fit. Since I've shortened the straps even more, I have no gaping. I could probably get away with a size down but I think with the pads it would be a tight fit and might be a touch too narrow.

  • Apparently I can't edit. I should have added that I'm not adjusting the straps just to make the cups fit, I'm just extremely extremely short with boobs all the way up so I need very very very short straps or I feel gappy and wiggly and unsupported.
