Didn't fit

I have absolutely no idea why this doesn't fit, style and shape wise and stuff. I mean, it's in my size right? I was so excited because I saw the cups were placed closer than my old ones. But oh my god. I don't think it was meant to be (without alterations). The center gore is digging into my sternum! And it still feels as if the wires are too wide, as the marks they leave are still a bit after my breast tissue ending. Painful, painful, painful. And gapping and wrinkling, everywhere. I don't understand, what more do my boobs need to be happy in a bra? What is possibly lacking?

This bra might work for you id you are a 26E or true 28DD, but it didn't work on me. I'm guessing it could be because I have a small frame and 28DDs aren't ideally constructed for someone so small as me.

Note: this bra is a hand-me-down. I am very grateful to the person who donated this to me. At least now I know this style won't work.

EDIT:

I have taken in the center gore, and while the awful wrinkling is still there the cups are finally close enough that there is no space on the sides of the cup.
