I am so frustrated. It's bra shopping time again for me (ugh!) and again, I can't find anything right. As someone who's on the line between 30C, 28D, and 30D (depending on brand and style) it is so hard to find a bra that fits and flatters. My go-to for several years has been Cleo , but as my size has changed (I used to be a cup size larger) I find I can't wear the Cleo 30Ds anymore and their 28 bands.... forget it, they're so tight they're painful. Every once in a while Cleo offers a 30C but they're impossible to find. I've also tried Freya 28Ds but their shapes never seem to work with mine. None of the 30Cs with American-style sizing fit me (like Chantelle, Affinitas).

I don't fit in the "small band, small cup" category (Little Bra Company) because those cups are way too small. I don't fit in the "small band, large cup" category anymore either. So I guess I am small band, average cup -- and that's a stuck-in-the-middle size range that no one seems to care about at all!! It's so bad that I've found myself pondering just going back to the awful 32Bs from Target that are $14... At least they are cute. Now that is desperate! How hard would it be to start my own line? (just joking... I think)

  • I am in a similar boat. In addition to being a difficult size/shape, I am also picky about weird things, so it further narrows down my options.

I see nothing wrong with 32B bras being only one sister size away for you. You might have some success using a Rixie clip or altering the bands if you find that they are too loose on you after a few wearings. Also, maybe pick up a couple of extenders so you can explore 28 bands as well?

  • Also, I looked at bras at Target the other day, it looks like a lot of them run shallow so I wouldn't be too surprised if a 32C with a Rixie clip would be less minimizing for you, depending on shape, comfort, etc.
