'Unknown Model' Best Practices?

I have 2 bras bought used off EBay that are not in the Bratabase. I know I could put them in as 'unknown', with pictures. They must be very old models, though, because searching returned nothing and chances are no one will ever be needing to know about them, so I am wondering if its worth it...does seem like a lot of work with dubious benefits for the community. (At least I know when I am researching here I kind of 'bleep over' the unknown models). What is the value of adding 'unknowns' to the database? Is it ever re-visited to check if there is a model number/name available from somewhere or someone with more knowledge? What is the best practice for Bratabase?

  • The benefits of unknown bras are very little for others. The measurements you add will be of help of you or for anybody else if you decide to sell your bra.

But there is the option to add them so you can keep track of your bras.

My recommendation is to add it with information like a normal bra. The pictures may helps someone identify it. The measurements good if you sell it or for fit assessment to know that X bra on this dimensions can be good for certain boobs.

But as you noticed, unknown bras' measurements don't benefit the database in the same way that other bras do.

  • jennyanni many brands have enough info on the tag that someone who knows that brand, can find the model. What is on the tags of these bras?
