Sad Little Rant, Tangentially About Bras

I just need a place to share...Two things happened recently at the intersection of bras & people that have made me sad. I subscribe to the golden rule: do unto others, etc. I practice communication, compassion, the art of gratitude and thanks. I also choose to believe that people are basically good. It hurts a little when this is rocked, especially in the bra community, which is wonderfully supportive and responsive. 1). I won a bunch of bras on EBay. There had been much friendly happy prompt messaging. Until I requested a total invoice (which had been agreed on), and the items disappeared, and the person never wrote back to my multiple nice requests. 2). Over on R/braswap someone asked for a bunch of my sale bras, and again much happy friendly messaging ensued, including me explaining PayPal and getting a quote to Canada. Right down to sending an invoice, then silence and again no response to my nice requests for something - anything - just communicate! I don't care if you have changed your mind! A bad day can happen, we all get busy, I get it. But weeks? I'm left wondering why...what...hello?hello? Its sad to me that some people think only of themselves. I feel sad to be so insignificant; to be ignored, dismissed. No one is insignificant!!! We all deserve to give & receive the grace of respect. We are all in this together. Dammit. End of rant, thanks for listening :-)

  • Awww! Darn it. Hope it resolves eventually.

  • I'm very sorry this has happened to you. If it's any consolation, the same thing has happened to me on multiple occasions. There have been numerous times a buyer and I have agreed on a price etc and I get the bra(s) all boxed up, ready to ship and the invoice goes ignored and I never hear from them again. It's extremely frustrating! I don't understand the complete lack of courtesy either. But I choose not to take it personally. Instead, I hope that nothing serious has happened in the person's life and I count my blessings. I figure it's a sign, and that good things are always at work for good people, meaning, maybe we dodged an unseen bullet, where the person may have been dishonest and we may have been saved the disheartening experience of being scammed. I like to believe that most people are honest and worthy of trust, but even among the best communities, there are a few who think and behave differently. Don't let it discourage you. Simply believe that you have been spared some sort of miserable experience. You're a good and decent person and things will always work in your favor. Cheer up and count yourself blessed! :)
