Comexim sizing weirdness...

So I just ordered a 3HC in 75J, because my 75HH was a tiny bit too small in the cups. I was expecting the 75J to gap a little bit, but in reality it gaps quite a bit more than I was expecting.

So, I compared my 75HH to my 75J, and the differences in cup hight are SO big!

The other size differences seem normal (the cups are a bit deeper, the wires a bit longer), nothing excessive. However, the cups of the 75J are almost an inch taller than those on the 75HH, especially at the gore. The gore of the 75HH is 6,5 cm high, while the gore on the 75J is 8,6 cm high.

While this explains the differences in fit I'm experiencing, I would really like to know if this is a normal cup height increase from one size to the next, or if I perhaps have a freak bra on my hands.

The 75J I ordered is a Poison Ivy, which is normally a plunge cut. Could it be that they use a different pattern for altered 3HCs compared to regular 3HCs? Is there a big jump in gore height between HH and J that I wasn't aware of? The J is just outside the regular Comexim size range, so there's not a lot of information on that size here. If this is normal, I should probably order my next J with reduced cups...

There is definitely a different pattern in the 3HC. These are all bras I have owned. I started a list with the different patterns here:
    http://www.bratabase.com/my/lists/g7p/
    http://www.bratabase.com/my/lists/g7q/

  • What are these measurements off? Those lists are handy, it' s confusing that they offer seemingly the same models that are actually base don different patterns.

Looking at the gore height measurements here on Bratabase, my Beauty seems to have a very low gore, while my Poison Ivy has a very high one.

I prefer the shorter gore, and I would request a reduced gore on my next order if I knew for sure that the model I want has a high gore, but it seems that it's very difficult to assess beforehand.
